Server Transfers
Information and eligibility surrounding server transfers.

What are the requirements for transferring to another server?

  • You must have less than the maximum allowable characters on the destination server.

  • Character must be at least level 10 or higher.

  • Character cannot have transferred in the last 30 days.

  • Character cannot be in a guild.

  • Character active marketplace transactions need to be cancelled prior to the transfer.

  • Character needs to have read all in-game mail prior to the transfer.

  • Character needs to have claimed all in-game mail attachments prior to the transfer.

  • Character needs to have claimed any restored items prior to transfer.

  • Each character transfer has a cost associated with it unless otherwise stated as a free transfer.

Early Access and Launch Server Transfer Details

At the full launch on October 1 we will temporarily restrict characters from transferring off of Early Access Servers to Launch Servers. Players on Full Launch Servers can transfer (subject to space availability) to either Early Access or other Full Launch Servers without restrictions. We plan to remove the ‘early access’ tags and let players apply to transfer from Early Access to Full Launch Servers when the time is right. Our team will work to determine the optimal time based on player feedback and data. We know players are interested in this date and as we get a feel for how population has been distributed following launch, we will update you with a planned timeline.

Limited Free Server Transfers

To help you find the optimal server to call home we are providing players the ability to claim up to two free server transfer tickets per day, beginning with early access and running through October 17. Please note that free transfer tickets will expire 24 hours after claiming to avoid players stockpiling.

During the free transfer period, you can transfer to eligible realms as frequently as you’d like (subject to the number of tickets claimed). Please be mindful when transferring. If you transfer off a server there is no guarantee you will be able to transfer back to that server if it reaches its population cap. During the free-transfer period there is no transfer cool-down. After October 17 server transfers tickets will need to be acquired with Lucent, and server transfers will be set to a 30-day cooldown.

How to Initiate a Server Transfer

  1. Go to the in game shop.

  2. At the top right click on the Change Servers button.

  3. Select the server you wish to transfer to. If you do not yet have a server transfer ticket, press the Purchase button.

  4. If you have a server transfer ticket, or purchased one in the previous step, then press the Request button and accept the server transfer pop-up.

  5. You will be logged out of the game and will have to re-enter in order to complete the server transfer.

I have an issue with my character after the server transfer

Before contacting customer support, verify that your server transfer successfully went through. If you experienced a payment issue when purchasing your server transfer, you will need to retry.
